Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk took part in the expanded board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea, where the results of the ministry’s activities were summed up, priority tasks and work plans for the future were discussed.
In recent years, the level of security on the peninsula has increased significantly. New fire departments and emergency rescue teams have been created, and their material and technical base has been significantly improved. The Crimean Fire Department and the Crimea-SPAS service carry out dozens of missions every day. Since the creation of these institutions, more than 7 thousand people have been saved, and property worth over 850 million rubles has been protected.said the Chairman of the Government.
He also noted that over the past 5 years, more than 86 modern fire fighting and rescue vehicles, as well as a number of other specialized equipment, have been purchased.
In 25 municipalities, unified duty dispatch services (UDDS) have been successfully created and fully equipped. The Regional Automated System for Centralized Public Warning, as well as System-112, operate effectively. Specialists receive up to 2.5 thousand calls a day around the clock, and in case of an emergency – up to 10 thousand.
According to Yuri Gotsanyuk, special attention is currently paid to reducing risks and preventing floods and flooding. Work is underway to increase the capacity of river sections, drainage canals and storm sewer systems where there is a risk of flooding.
The task facing the ministry is to increase the efficiency of services and work proactivelyhe concluded.
