Over 163,000 servicemen of the Southern Military District were revaccinated against COVID-19

More than 163 thousand military personnel of the Southern Military District (SMD) were revaccinated against a new coronavirus infection. The category of revaccinated includes servicemen who received a full course of vaccination before September 1 2021 of the year.

In the Southern Military District, more than 270 thousand people were vaccinated with two components of the Sputnik V preparation, of which more than 160 thousand were military personnel and members of their families, more than 45 thousand — civilian personnel. In addition, the vaccine was given to students in military educational institutions and teaching staff, employees of organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. More than 163 thousand people were revaccinated with one component of the preparation «Sputnik V», with two — more than 160 thousand

Before the vaccine is administered, medical service specialists inform patients about the impact of the Gam-COVID-Vac (Sputnik V) preparation on the human body. Vaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis and after signing the consent to the introduction of the components of the drug. Vaccination is carried out on the basis of the branches of the district military clinical hospital of the Southern Military District and medical units of the formations and military units of the district associations.
