Over 35 thousand spectators attended the events of the New Year's Marathon of the Crimean Musical Theater

Over 35 thousand spectators attended the events of the New Year’s Marathon of the State Academic Musical Theater of the Republic of Crimea, which lasted from December 21, 2023 to January 8, 2024.

At the hospital in Simferopol and the Yalta Theater. A.P. Chekhov, artists of the Republican Theater performed 57 events, of which 47 were festive performances for children. Before each fairy tale, Masha from the beloved cartoon “Masha and the Bear” was waiting for guests in the lobby, who, together with her friends Drakosha, Snowball the hare, Aladdin, Genie and Snow Maiden, met Father Frost, guessed riddles, sang songs and danced— reported the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.

This year, the premiere New Year’s fairy tale was the play «There, on Unknown Paths», staged by the theater’s chief director Vladimir Kosov, based on Russian folk tales. The atmosphere of real magic was created by enchanting costumes, special effects, and bold directorial ideas.

The children were also shown the musical “The Snow Queen”, the musical fairy tale “Pirate Holiday — New Year”, and the musical fairy tale “The Frog Princess”. The New Year’s fairy-tale show “There, on Unknown Paths” was also presented on the stage of the Krasnoperekopsk City Palace of Culture.

According to tradition, the theater welcomed adult spectators to the New Year’s Gala concert, directed by Anzhelika Dobrunova.
