Over 700 objects from archaeological excavations of monuments of the Bronze Age were presented at the exhibition in Simferopol

Over 700 items from archaeological excavations of the last 10 years of monuments of the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age in the vicinity of Simferopol, in the Western and Central Crimea are presented at the exhibition “Taurida Archaeological: Age of Bronze”.
The exhibition is the second part of the major exposition project “Taurida Archaeological”, which was presented by the historical and archaeological museum-reserve “Naples Scythian” in March 2024 for the 10th anniversary of the Crimean spring.
Collections entered museum storage from expeditions of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Archeology of Crimea of the Russian Academy of Sciences, private archaeological societies.
Excavations were security and rescue in the reason for the construction of the archaeological facilities of the Tavrida, the Tauride TPP, and the main gas pipeline at the location of the archaeological facilities.
At the presentation with a welcoming speech on behalf of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, Taytyana Manezhina was performed by the representative of the department Sergey Patrushev, thanked the team of the museum and the Institute of Archeology of the Crimea of the Russian Academy of Sciences for fruitful cooperation, noted the uniqueness of the exhibition, which was first covered this archaeological period. He emphasized that the exhibition will be shown on an ongoing basis as the second hall of the main exhibition.
The audience was also welcomed by the director of the Institute of Archeology of Crimea of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vadim Mayko.
The first tour of the exposition was conducted by a specialist in the era of bronze in Crimea, Alexander Kisly, focusing on the importance of the presentation of the Bronze Age in the museum meetings of the peninsula.
A special place at the exhibition is occupied by a collection of stucco vessels of the Kizil-Kobin archaeological culture (historical Taurus), richly decorated with geometric ornaments and demonstrating the original material culture of the ancient peoples of Crimea.
For the first time, two musical instruments of the average bronze are presented to the general public — bone flute found in the burials of the catacomb archaeological culture.
The exhibition is available for visiting the Academician P. S. Pallas in the main building of the estate in the Botanical Garden of Simferopol.
