Over 700 thousand Crimeans have been immunized against influenza
CrimeaPRESS reports:
This year, 726,697 people were vaccinated against influenza in the Republic of Crimea, the implementation of the population immunization plan is 67%.
To date, 546,655 adults and 180,042 children have been vaccinated. Immunization is actively continuing not only in medical organizations, but also on-site in work teams of various enterprises and organizations, as well as in children’s groups in schools and kindergartens,” the press service of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea Konstantin Skorupsky quotes.
The head of the Crimean Ministry of Health recalled that it is necessary to undergo immunization before the seasonal rise in the incidence of ARVI and influenza. This can be done in any medical organization — a clinic, a medical outpatient clinic, a paramedic and obstetric station. Employers can initiate organized vaccination of their employees; to do this, they must contact the head of the nearest clinic.
It is recommended for all categories of the population to be vaccinated; children can be vaccinated from six months. Before the injection, the patient is examined by a medical professional. After vaccination, it is recommended not to wet the injection site for three days, not to visit the sauna, not to drink alcohol, and to avoid excessive physical exertion. Immunity after vaccination is formed within 14 days.
