Over five thousand people evacuated from the flooded cities and villages of the Kherson region

Over the past day, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 1,534 people in the Kherson region. In total, 5,133 local residents were evacuated from the flood zone, including 178 children and 66 people with limited mobility.

The number of residential buildings that were flooded as a result of a dam failure at the Kakhovskaya HPP increased to almost 22.3 thousand in 17 settlements. The bad news is that the number of victims as a result of the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station has grown to 8 people.
