Over the past 24 hours, Crimean firefighters extinguished 11 dry vegetation fires

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea notes that the dynamics of the occurrence of “landscape” fires on the peninsula is not decreasing. Every day, Crimean firefighters extinguish up to a dozen dead wood fires. Yesterday there were 11 such alarm calls. Of these, two “landscape” fires destroyed almost 3 hectares of vegetation.
Yesterday, at 14:31, the operational console of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea» received a message about the fire of dry vegetation in the area of the village of Zolotoye Pole, Kirovsky district.
The PCh unit was sent to the scene of the incident. Zhuravki and PCH s. Greetings from the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea” consisting of 3 people, as well as employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea. Upon arrival, it became known that dry grass and bushes were burning in an open area outside the settlement. Firefighters quickly laid hose lines and, using firecrackers and Ermak backpacks, began to extinguish the fire. Within 5 hours the fire was localized and extinguished. The area was 2 hectares— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
According to firefighters, extinguishing was complicated by very strong gusty winds, which changed its direction and contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. There were no casualties.
Then, at 18:30, the fire department’s operational control panel received the following signal about a fire in the area of the village of Sennoye (Sudak urban district) — dry grass and dense bushes were burning in an open area. Due to strong winds, there was a threat of further spread of fire to residential buildings. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly applied barrel “B” and extinguished the fire within 2 hours. Thanks to the actions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, it was possible to avoid further “transition” of the fire. The area was 900 square meters. There were no casualties; experts are establishing the causes of the latest “landscape” fire.
