The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea draws the attention of citizens to the fact that a large number of fires of dead wood are still recorded on the territory of the peninsula. The main cause of “landscape” fires is burning of grass and careless handling of fire by citizens and neglect of fire safety rules. Fires of dead wood can threaten buildings located nearby, Crimean firefighters emphasize.

Yesterday, at 11:08, the operational duty officer received a message about a fire in the village. Koktebel in the area of ​​the turn to the village. Nanikovo – dry reeds and garbage were burning.

Firefighters promptly laid hose lines and began extinguishing the fire within 2 hours. Its area was 500 square meters. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the fire department, it was possible to avoid further “transition” of the fire. There were no casualties. Later, at 21:08, the control panel of the operational duty officer of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea” received a signal about a fire in the village. Beregovoe (Bakhchisaray district). Dry vegetation was burning in the open area. Firefighters laid hose lines and began extinguishing the fire. Within an hour and a half, the fire was completely localized and extinguished. The area of ​​this “landscape” fire was 800 square meters.
