Over the past 24 hours, Crimean firefighters extinguished dry vegetation fires.
At 14:44, the control panel of the operational duty officer of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea» received a message about a fire in the area of the village. Belinskoye (Leninsky district). Upon arrival, it turned out that dry vegetation was burning in the open area. There is a threat of fire spreading to the nearby village and the Karalar Natural Park.
Firefighters laid hose lines and began extinguishing the fire. Within 3 hours the fire was localized and extinguished. Its area was 1500 square meters. Thanks to the prompt work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, further spread of the fire was avoided. When extinguishing the fire, firecrackers and Ermak fire-fighting backpacks were additionally used. There were no casualties. The reasons are being established. A total of 16 people and 3 pieces of equipment were involved— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Dead wood fires were also extinguished in the Bakhchisarai, Krasnogvardeisky and Kirov districts.
