Over the past day, 26 «landscape» fires were registered in Crimea — dry grass burned

Over the past 24 hours, 26 dry vegetation burns have been registered in Crimea. The total area of ignition covered by fire exceeded 9.8 hectares. The largest fires were registered in Belogorsk, Kirov, Bakhchisaray districts and the urban district of Yalta. 35 fire departments, 5 volunteer fire brigades, 3 fire brigades of forest and hunting farms fought the fire, 6 water carriers and 3 tractors were additionally involved from the district administrations.
The main cause of all fires is the human factor, emphasized the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
Ahead of the next abnormally hot days, until August 24 in the western, southern and eastern regions of Crimea, an emergency fire danger will remain. In this regard, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea recalls that since July 8, a special fire regime has been introduced throughout the peninsula. It is forbidden to make fires and carry out fire hazardous work using open flames in forests, natural ecosystems and in the territories adjacent to them. Intentional burning of dry vegetation and household waste is prohibited in the region— noted in the emergency department.
Rescuers remind: violators of fire safety rules face disciplinary, administrative or criminal liability. Fines from 10 to 800 thousand rubles are provided.
