As Igor Livshits, Chief Freelance Reproductive Health Specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, said, the main indication for IVF is the inability to get pregnant naturally for one year or more, the ineffectiveness of infertility treatment by other methods. There are also limitations and contraindications for this method. The decision to refer to IVF is made by a gynecologist in a medical organization or antenatal clinic to which a woman is attached. After the appropriate conclusion of the doctor, in order to receive a referral for the procedure at the expense of compulsory medical insurance, the patient has the right to contact the clinic where the IVF program is supposed to be carried out. The list and addresses of clinics participating in the implementation of the territorial program of state guarantees are available from doctors in antenatal clinics, and are also published on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea and the TFOMS RK , — noted in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.
The final decision to start IVF treatment is made by the doctors of the clinic. Observation of pregnancy after IVF is carried out in the antenatal clinic that referred to the IVF program.
Recall that the Ministry of Health of Crimea is a participant in the implementation of the regional project in the Republic of Crimea «Financial support for families at birth of children» for the period 2019-2024 years in terms of in vitro fertilization of families suffering from infertility, at the expense of the basic program of compulsory medical insurance.
