Over the weekend, Sevastopol residents lost almost 3.5 million rubles, pecking at the tricks of scammers

Over the weekend, four Sevastopol residents trusted false and employees of state institutions, frightened by imaginary threats to bank accounts. So:

• A 53-year-old pensioner was called a person who introduced himself as an employee of the public services portal. He stated that a hacker attack is being made at the expense of the man, and to protect the funds, it is urgent to transfer money to a “safe account”. The gullible pensioner transferred 1.5 million rubles before he realized that he had been deceived.
• The 28-year-old master of the technical control department received a call in the messenger from the supposedly banking employee. He convinced him of the need to transfer money to a “temporary account”. The young man sent funds three times, having lost a total of 905 thousand rubles.
• Two other victims-a 64-year-old pensioner and a 76-year-old woman-received calls from imaginary employees of Rosfinmonitoring. They were explained that their accounts are at risk and require “verification”. As a result, they transferred 513 thousand and 500 thousand rubles, respectively, before they realized that they became victims of the scam.

Do not become the next victim! Remember that vigilance and common sense are the best protection against scammers. Never make hasty financial decisions under pressure, no matter how convincing the interlocutor may seem.
