Overhaul of power lines has begun in Yukharinaya Balka

Gorsvet has begun a major overhaul of the power transmission line that supplies electricity to cooperatives and gardening partnerships. The line being repaired feeds about 40 cooperatives and partnerships located in the area between Monastyrskoe Highway and the airfield of the Sevastopol flying club “Yukharina Balka”.

For work safety, it is necessary to temporarily stop the power supply. Therefore, in order to minimize the inconvenience of residents associated with repairs, work is planned to be carried out during the daytime. In the morning, the area under repair will be switched off, and in the evening, power supply to consumers will be restored. The installation of new equipment will make it possible to divide a fairly long line of 11 km into separate sections and, accordingly, in the event of an emergency somewhere on the line, shutdown will occur in a certain section. Approximately 20 reclosers and about 24 disconnectors will be installed, – the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of Gorsvet, Alexander Lavrichenko.

Reclosers allow you to automatically re-enable the line after some time and, if this reconnection is unsuccessful, the information will be communicated to the dispatcher, who will send a repair team to a specific location to localize and eliminate the damage. This significantly reduces response times to emergency situations.

Also, new equipment will increase the capacity of the existing line, that is, it will be able to deliver more power.
