Overhaul of the skate park in the Sevastopol Artillery Bay will be completed in August

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The skate park, located in Artillery Bay, has been operating since 2018 — during this time, the skate park facilities have undergone significant operational wear and damage due to vandalism. Further operation of the skate park in its current state could endanger the life and health of its users, so it was decided to carry out a major overhaul here.

Current repairs were carried out repeatedly, but the object has served its purpose, such repairs are no longer enough. Therefore, funds were allocated for major repairs — from today the contractor starts work. We plan to hold them in July and re-open access for our guys — skaters, roller skaters — in August. This object is extremely popular, if there is no rain, you can always see athletes here. The overhaul project is exactly the same, as part of the overhaul it is planned to completely replace the coating of the slides, strengthen the supporting structures. I will personally monitor the quality of work— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the department for youth and sports, Sergei Reznichenko.

The cost of the work is 1.1 million rubles, the guarantee is three years.

The head of the relevant department also asked the residents of the city to take care of sports facilities.

I would like to call upon the completion of work to be more sensitive to this object and to all such structures: vandalism occurs very often — they paint with paint, place illegal advertisements, and drive by on mopeds. This is all wrong, I beg the youth of the city to take care of the infrastructure— said Sergei Reznichenko.

A full reopening of the skate park is planned for August 2023.
