Overpasses are being built on Kamyshov Highway in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On Kamyshov Highway, work on the construction of three elevated pedestrian crossings is being completed. Span structures have already been installed on two of them. The length of one such overhead pedestrian bridge is 36 meters, its weight is 48 tons. The progress of work on the installation of the structure was monitored by Nikolai Maksimov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
Work on the construction of elevated pedestrian crossings on Kamyshov Highway began at the beginning of the year on behalf of the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev. There will be three of them in total. The construction sites of the structures were not chosen by chance. One of them is located near the Ecotech+ school and will make it possible to secure the passage of students across the Kamyshovoe Highway. And the second and third are in places where people attract: in the area of large residential areas and a shopping center— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Nikolai Maksimov.
Each elevated pedestrian crossing will be equipped with two elevators for people with limited mobility, and video surveillance will also be installed.
To date, work has already been completed on the installation of supports, elevator shafts, reconstruction of utility networks and storm drainage, as well as the installation of a retaining wall. Work is underway to install staircases and finishing work in elevator shafts.
Installation of the last span of the elevated pedestrian crossing is scheduled for mid-November. To achieve this, traffic will again be limited.
The construction of all elevated pedestrian crossings on Kamyshov Highway is planned to be completed at the end of 2023.
