Pack your bags: 30% of Russians are ready to move to another city for the sake of a career
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Avito Jobs conducted a survey of 10,000 adult Russians to find out how many of them are considering moving to another city in the country for a new job. It turned out that 30% of respondents are ready for labor migration — with 11% actively interested in working in other cities, and the rest are ready to consider the possibility of moving under certain conditions or to specific regions.
Among Russians with work experience, 32% have already moved to another city for the sake of their careers, with 18% doing so several times and 14% doing so once. Men have moved several times for work more often than women (24% versus 14%). Among those who have already migrated to other regions due to job offers, the largest number comes from the construction and real estate sectors (48%), the automobile business (42%), banks and investments (42%), and art, entertainment, and mass media (40%). — the service’s press service reported.
Of those who are considering job offers that involve moving to another city or region, Russians are generally willing to consider moving if the employer offers them a high salary and bonuses (70%), company-paid housing or rent compensation (51%), paid relocation and assistance in settling in a new place (42%), as well as opportunities for career growth and development (41%).
