Paraglider Gleb Sukhotsky from Simferopol won the title of Russian champion for the fourth time

The competition was attended by 143 athletes (127 men and 16 women). The participants completed four tasks of 56, 60, 59 and 58 kilometers. 105 pilots reached the target in the first task, 21 in the second, 48 in the third and 53 in the fourth. In the individual competition among men, Simferopol resident Gleb Sukhotsky became the champion of Russia. This is already his fourth similar title. Among women, Anna Verbitskaya from Simferopol took the silver (Lyudmila Vagina from St. Petersburg won), — reports «Crimean Sport».
The Crimean men’s team (Gleb Sukhotsky, Andrey Samokhvalov, Evgeny Kalashnik, Vadim Yeltsov, Vyacheslav Kopchinsky, Roman Petranin, Vladimir Mishchenko and Valentin Fedenko, all from Simferopol) won the team event, while the women’s team (Anna Verbitskaya, Yulia Maksimova and Tatyana Berdnikova, all also from Simferopol) won bronze (the winners were the Leningrad Region team).
The portal «Crimean sport» said the Chairman of the Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization «United Federation of Ultralight Aviation Sports of Russia» in the Republic of Crimea, head coach of the Crimean national ultralight aviation team Vyacheslav Kopchinsky.
