“Parental Patrol” and the Sevastopol State Traffic Safety Inspectorate are on guard for children’s road safety
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol, as part of the “Attention – Children!” campaign, held an event aimed at preventing road accidents involving minors. Traffic inspectors organized patrols near secondary school No. 26 in the morning, when all the children were heading to the educational institution. Caring, active and attentive to the problems of children’s road traffic injuries, parents, together with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate, met children and adults and reminded them of the need to comply with the Traffic Rules.
Participants in the preventive event called on parents to be careful when crossing the road and always set the right example for their children, and to use reflective elements in the evening. Road safety patrol members explained to parent motorists the basic rules for transporting children in cars and called on parents to be an example for their children by using seat belts when traveling in a vehicle.
In turn, the young traffic inspectors told pedestrians where and how to safely cross the roadway, and also explained that when crossing the road it is necessary to minimize distractions: talking on the phone, using headphones and a hood. Police officers with UID officers handed road safety reminders to road users— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds that pedestrians must move on sidewalks or pedestrian paths, and in their absence, along the sides. Please note that when driving along the side of the road or the edge of the roadway in the dark or in conditions of insufficient visibility, pedestrians are recommended to carry objects with reflective elements and ensure the visibility of these objects to vehicle drivers.
