Parents from Crimea told how much they spend on average per week on tutors to prepare for the Unified State Exam

Tutors are paid for by 3 out of 10 parents of students in grades 7-8 and every second parent of students in grades 9-11. Parents of middle and high school students from Crimea took part in the surveys of the SuperJob Career Start service.
29% of parents of schoolchildren in grades 7-8, 49% of parents of ninth-graders, and 53% of parents of students in grades 10-11 pay for additional lessons for their children with tutors.
For students in grades 7-8, tutors are most often hired for English, algebra and geometry, Russian, physics and chemistry. On average, a week for all additional classes costs 3,400 rubles. Parents of students in grades 9, 10 and 11 most often pay for classes in compulsory examination subjects: algebra and geometry, and the Russian language. The top 5 most popular disciplines also include English, physics and chemistry. For a week of lessons with a tutor for ninth-graders, parents spend an average of 3,600 rubles, for students in grades 10 and 11 — 4,800 rubles.
Parents of high school students most often spend more than 10 thousand rubles a week on tutors: 10% versus 8% among parents of 9th grade students and 6% among parents of 7th-8th graders. “The amount per month is 2 times the minimum wage!”; «It is very expensive!» — parents of future applicants comment.
