Parking meters in Sevastopol will be replaced with domestic ones

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Since October 1, in Sevastopol, payment for a parking space through parking meters is not available due to sanctions. This message, journalists note «Sevastopol newspaper», appears every time you try to pay for parking in the city center through this device. Parking meters do not work because they were manufactured abroad and were subject to sanctions. The software is not updated, which makes it impossible for them to work correctly.

As soon as possible, parking meters will be replaced with a Russian-made analogue,” said the concessionaire company “Safe Roads of Sevastopol”.

In the meantime, they advise paying for parking through terminals and the PayBerry website, the RuParking mobile application, your personal account on the parking website, or by SMS to 7878.

Let us recall that on June 1, 2023, parking meters installed more than five years ago finally began to accept payments for parking in the city center, and the city department began actively fining drivers who were unwilling to pay.

There are 20 parking meters in the center of Sevastopol, and two in Balaklava. Each terminal has stickers indicating the zone, payment methods, QR codes for downloading the application, and the website address where you can see the availability of available seats.

Paying for parking in Sevastopol has become a big problem since the beginning of the project and has been repeatedly criticized by drivers. They complain that parking meters don’t work, the app can’t be downloaded and understood, not all bank cards work, and mobile Internet is not available on all streets, and where it is, it’s not fast.
