Part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces missile shot down on Friday was destroyed in Sevastopol

Emergency services removed parts of the downed rocket near the theater. A.V. Lunacharsky. The wreckage was discovered after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet.
During the operation, increased security measures were introduced in Sevastopol. Residents of houses located on Nakhimov Avenue were evacuated to the Pobeda cinema. Route st. Lenina — Suvorova — Krasny Spusk — Dnieper Bridge — Revyakina — Yalta Ring was closed to the movement of personal vehicles. The operation was completed, the explosive object was transported to a training ground in the Kara-Koba area and destroyed. There was no damage to the population or infrastructure. Near the theater where rocket debris was discovered, employees of the State Budgetary Institution “Parks and Squares” are working, they are clearing the area from fallen branches. During the incident, the root system of one of the plane trees was damaged: it was flooded with jet fuel. Now experts are spraying the roots with a reagent and saving the tree— note the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on Sevastopol took place on the afternoon of September 22. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, while repelling the missile attack, five missiles were shot down by air defense systems. As a result of the attack, the historical headquarters building of the Black Sea Fleet was damaged. All necessary forces and means were mobilized to promptly eliminate the consequences.
Operational services continue to eliminate the consequences. In houses and institutions along the central ring of the city, gas and electricity supplies have been cut off, and water supply parameters have been reduced. Gas, electricity and water will be turned on as soon as all work is completed.
In addition, the shock wave knocked out glass in ten residential buildings in the city center. No people were hurt. Utility services are already glazing windows.
The governor of the city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, thanked the emergency services for their prompt and well-coordinated work.
