Participants of the SEZ invested more than 2.8 billion rubles in the economy of Sevastopol over the past year

Over the past year, participants in the free economic zone in Sevastopol made capital investments in the region’s economy in the amount of more than 2.8 billion rubles. This is 1.5 billion more than the planned volume.

In 2022, the free economic zone has brought significant results. First, the indicator of the volume of capital investments was overfulfilled by more than two times. Secondly, the number of jobs has been significantly increased. The total volume of investments for the entire period of operation of the SEZ in Sevastopol amounted to about 14 billion rubles. Participants implement projects in the areas of services, industry, construction, trade, agriculture, including fishing, tourism, transport, fuel and energy, and the social sphere. In total, at the beginning of 2023, 397 projects were at various stages of implementation.

Let me remind you that last year the Government of the Russian Federation decided to maintain a program to support residents of the free economic zone in Crimea and Sevastopol. Thus, enterprises to this day can receive preferential loans at a reduced rate. This will give an influx of investments into the region, and as a result, an increase in employment, an increase in the standard of livingsays the deputy governor.

The conditions of the program for FEZ residents remain the same. The loan amount is from 10 million to 5 billion rubles, the volume of planned investments in the project is at least 30 million rubles, the loan term depends on the specific investment project. The interest on the loan is equal to the bank’s rate on the loan minus the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as of the date of conclusion of the agreement, but not higher than 15%.
