On the territory of the 7th mortar battery, student detachments of Sevastopol launched the patriotic action «Victory Landing». 20 RNO activists, together with representatives of the regional public organization for the preservation of historical heritage «Grenadier», completely cleared two battery rooms of land and debris and removed more than 200 bags of garbage from the facility. Patriotic action «Victory Landing. In the footsteps of the past” is a complex of youth events dedicated to the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In total, 60 fighters of student groups will take part in the landing.
«Victory Landing» is an opportunity for our youth to touch the great history with their own hands. Today fighters of student groups united to contribute to the common cause and prepare the city for the celebration of Victory Day— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy head of the department for youth and sports, Marina Slonchenko.
The action will take place from 4 to 6 May. Participants will make three one-day trips to places of military glory with stops at mass graves to clean the monuments of the Great Patriotic War, memorials, squares dedicated to events and heroes, including those located in remote settlements.
The guys are set for fruitful work, as they feel their involvement in a really important business for the city.— said the organizer of the action Elvira Vlasenko, who became the winner of the competition for volunteer projects in Sevastopol in 2022.
Recall that the action «Victory Landing» has been held in Sevastopol since 2019, its main goal is to improve the memorable places of the city. The event is held within the framework of achieving the goals of the regional project «Social Activity» of the national project «Education».
