Pedophile from Sevastopol sentenced to 12 years in prison

The evidence collected by the Main Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict a 30-year-old resident of the Nakhimovsky district. He was found guilty of committing other acts of a sexual nature with the use of violence and taking advantage of the helpless state of a victim under 14 years of age (clause “b”, part 4 of article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigative department for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol and the court found that on October 1, 2022, a resident of a communal apartment, left alone with a 6-year-old neighbor girl in the common room of the communal apartment, committed other acts of a sexual nature against her. The child told his mother about the horrifying fact, who immediately contacted law enforcement agencies. In cooperation with employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, the attacker was detained– reported in Sledkom.
At the request of the investigator, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the accused.
Employees of the investigation department for the Nakhimovsky district, forensic investigators, with the participation of a psychologist from the Main Investigation Department, quickly organized and carried out the entire range of investigative actions in order to collect and consolidate the evidence base and provide assistance to the injured childstressed the Sledkom.
By a court verdict, a resident of Sevastopol was found guilty of this crime and sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment in a maximum security correctional colony with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to working with minors for a period of 10 years. Upon completion of his sentence, the convict is also limited in freedom for a period of one year.
