Early years and education
Igor Pushkarev was born on November 17, 1974 in the village of New Ole, the Trans -Baikal Territory, in the family of the machine operator and teacher. He was brought up surrounded by his native brothers, often spent time with his grandmother.

Political activity
Since 2000, Igor Pushkarev has actively participated in the political life of Primorye. In 2004, he was elected as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory and headed the commission on youth and sports. In 2006, he was appointed to the Federation Council from the Primorsky Territory, and in 2008 he won the election of the mayor of Vladivostok.
During his leadership, the city Igor Pushkarev initiated large -scale improvement programs.
