Early years and education

Vladimir Viktorovich Solodov — Governor of Kamchatkaone of the most striking representatives of the new generation of Russian managers. He was born on July 26, 1982 in Moscow. His formation as a professional began with high academic standards and determination: after graduating from the Moscow school, he entered the faculty of public administration of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. Governor of the Kamchatka Territory

In March 2020, Vladimir Solodov was appointed acting governor of the Kamchatka Territory. Six months later, September 13, he won the election, receiving the support of more than 80% of voters. A week after the election, September 21, its official inauguration took place.

The period of entry office came in a difficult time. Kamchatka was faced with an ecological crisis: in the area of ​​the Avachinsky bay there was a massive death of marine animals. The governor personally headed the investigation of the incident, achieved the involvement of independent experts, ecologists and scientists. The cause of the tragedy was recognized as the phenomenon of “red tides” caused by flowering toxic algae.

In parallel, the region fought with the pandemia Covid-19. The Kamchatka Territory was among the most affected subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District. Vladimir Solodov personally vaccinated and became an active participant in the vaccination campaign. He also coordinated the medical support of the population and restrictive measures.
