The FIU in Sevastopol reminds that Russian families with low incomes have another measure of state support in the form of a monthly allowance for women who are registered with a medical organization in the early stages of pregnancy. Larisa Mironova, Deputy Head of the Department for Establishing Pensions and Social Payments of the OPFR for the city of Sevastopol, tells about the payment.

— The allowance is granted to pregnant women living in the territory of the Russian Federation, registered with a medical organization in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, if the monthly income per person in family does not exceed the regional subsistence minimum per capita. Let me remind you that in Sevastopol the subsistence minimum per capita from June 1 is 919 rub.

How to make a payment?

— To receive a payment, you must submit an electronic application through the public services portal or contact the PFR customer service at the place of residence. You only need to submit an application. The Pension Fund will independently request the necessary documents within the framework of interagency cooperation from the relevant authorities and organizations.

You will only need to provide income information if the family has military, rescuers, police or employees of another law enforcement agency, entrepreneurs or self-employed persons, and also if someone receives scholarships, grants and other payments from a scientific or educational institution.

Consideration of the application and the information received takes business days. In some cases, the maximum period will be 30 business days.

How much is the benefit?

— The amount of the monthly allowance is equal to 12% of the subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population in the region of residence. The subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population in Sevastopol since June 1 is 919 rubles, therefore, the amount of the monthly payment to pregnant women is 7586 rubles

Do I need to provide documents on registration for pregnancy?

— No, the Pension Fund requests this information on its own as part of the program of interagency cooperation. Confirmation may be needed only if they have not been received.

For what period is the payment established?

– Payment is assigned when applying with an application not earlier than 12 week of pregnancy and up to the month of childbirth or termination of pregnancy inclusive.

Is it possible to receive benefits without Russian citizenship?

Yes, benefits can be received without Russian citizenship if the woman has a permanent place of residence or temporary registration in Russia. Foreign citizens must personally apply to the PFR client service at the place of residence or temporary registration, since it is impossible to apply for public services without Russian citizenship.

How can I confirm the actual place of residence if there is no registration at the place of residence?

If citizens of the Russian Federation do not have a confirmed place of actual stay, it is determined by the place of application for the grant.

If a pregnant woman does not work, will she receive benefits?

— When considering an application, confirmed income or a good reason for its absence in the billing period, and not at the time of application, will be taken into account. The billing period is the 12 months preceding the 4 months prior to the month of claiming benefits.
