In Simferopol, the prosecutor’s office sent to court a criminal case on the fraudulent embezzlement of more than 300 thousand rubles. The man is accused of committing crimes under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed with causing significant damage) and Part 1 of Art. 314 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (malicious evasion from serving a sentence in the form of restriction of freedom).
According to investigators, during 2022, the man, being sentenced to restriction of freedom, violated the duties assigned to him by a court decision and did not appear for registration with the penitentiary inspection. In the same period, the accused made telephone calls to residents of the region in order to receive funds and, under the guise of their relatives, asked to send funds to his account. Thus, he deceived 9 residents of the region, causing them damage in the amount of more than 300 thousand rubles— reported in the prosecutor’s office of the Crimea.
The criminal case was sent to the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol.
