Photo exhibition «Afghanistan, year 2008» opened in the Crimean Ethnographic Museum

The Crimean Ethnographic Museum hosted the opening of Victor Pinchuk’s personal photo exhibition «Afghanistan, Year 667». The exposition is organized by the Crimean Ethnographic Museum with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea. It presents 40 works of the author, which depict nature, local residents of one of the ancient and closed countries of the world — Afghanistan.
During the presentation of the exhibition project, Director of the Crimean Ethnographic Museum Yuri Laptev spoke about the history and culture of Afghanistan, emphasizing the important connection between the history of the USSR and Afghanistan for the living and future generations of Russians. The author spoke about his trip to Afghanistan, in the wake of which the presented works were created, answered questions about creativity and plans for the future , — the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Crimea reports.
The opening of the exposition was attended by members of the club of veterans of pedagogical work «Optimist» (Simferopol), students of the School-Gymnasium No. them. E.K. Pokrovsky, Afghan veterans, museum staff.
The exhibition «Afghanistan, year 2008» will last until 28 February.
