Photo exhibition “The Royal Family. Love and Mercy» is exhibited at the Livadia Palace

The grand opening of the exhibition project “The Royal Family. Love and Mercy”, dedicated to the life of the royal family as an example of not only service to people and the Fatherland, but also an example of Russian family traditions and unshakable spiritual values. The exhibition project is being implemented within the framework of the Year of the Family, declared by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
At the presentation, the deputy director of the palace-museum, Ksenia Gernet, made a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the project for the development of the spiritual and moral qualities of Russian citizens. Also speaking were the co-organizer of the photo exhibition, the rector of the Holy Cross Palace Church of the Romanov family in Livadia — Father Dmitry (Gotsalyuk) and the deputy chairman of the Yalta City Council Svetlana Bazilyuk, who noted the special symbolic and cultural significance of the exhibition for Crimea, where the royal martyrs are revered as the patron saints of the family– reports the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
The event was complemented by performances by the duet Sofia and Anna Poltavchenko, who performed several works on violin and piano.
The exhibition includes over 100 historical photographs telling about the relationships within the family of the last Emperor of Russia Nicholas II, raising children, and the atmosphere of special love, harmony and mutual understanding. The photo exhibition is available to museum visitors as part of a sightseeing tour until May 19, 2024.
