Point of view: education and industry should be closely connected — Rector of KFU

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Education cannot exist separately from the state system and must benefit the economy. The most important thing now is to restore the close link between education and industry.

I believe that Russia initially built its educational system in order to replace the deficit that formed after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when ties between the real sector of the economy and universities were disrupted. Then the Russian education system was forced to look for ways to interact, because any education system cannot exist separately, it must be built into the state system and benefit the economy. Education and industry should be closely linked. In my opinion, this is the most important thing that needs to be restored , — quotes the press service of the rector of the Crimean Federal University Andrey Falaleev (a press conference on the abolition of the Bologna system in Russian universities, at the MIA Rossiya Segodnya).

According to him, now the country will return to the Soviet model, when universities and institutes were sharpened for real enterprises, while, according to Andrey Falaleev, it is important to maintain flexibility.

Now the education system consists of two «ladders» that do not intersect with each other. This is a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree — one «ladder», a specialist — another «ladder». I am sure that a system will now be created when these «ladders» will intersect. And the current system of the economy requires steps. Now no one can afford to plan even for five years, because it is almost impossible to understand what areas of training will be in demand in five years. In my opinion, in such a flexible system of development of science and economy, it is much more convenient to gain knowledge in short intervals , — Andrey Falaleev notes.

The rector of KFU added that this year there will be no changes in the diplomas of graduates.
