Point of view: tourism is a priority industry for Sevastopol

The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference was held on the basis of the City Development Institute of the Sevastopol State University. Its participants discussed the sustainable development of tourism, prospects and challenges faced by the industry.
For Sevastopol, tourism is a priority industry, the tourist flow of the region annually grows by an average of 13%. The development of tourism in the city is carried out both at the federal and regional levels. Therefore, it is important to participate in such conferences, exchange expert opinions, look for joint ways to solve the difficulties that we are facing today , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Vice Governor Maria Litovko.
During the event, experts spoke on possible forms of support for the industry, the development of regional types of tourism, and also discussed the achievements and prospects for promoting the tourism sector of Sevastopol in the face of new challenges.
The most topical issues of tourism development are announced within the framework of the conference agenda. With colleagues, we paid special attention to the legal issues of the industry. The participants in the discussion were both experts in the field of public administration in tourism, and specialized representatives of the public and educational institutions of Russia.
The purpose of our conference is to analyze the state of the tourism industry and deal with the challenges that Sevastopol faces in terms of tourism development. I am glad that we managed to gather colleagues and exchange expert opinions on topical issues of the industry on the eve of the tourist season , — says Ivan Kusov, director of the City Development Institute.
The possibility of implementing the initiatives announced during the conference will be considered at the regional and federal levels. One of the proposals is the implementation of a cashback program for traveling by train.
