Police conduct operation «Illegal-2023» in Crimea

The first stage of the complex operational and preventive operation «Illegal-2023» has started in Crimea. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, the operation will take place in two stages: from June 19 to 25 and from October 2 to 8 of this year.

During this period, police officers and other departments are taking measures aimed at identifying and suppressing channels of illegal migration of citizens from third countries to Russia, as well as suppressing the activities of criminal communities involved in organizing illegal migration, extremist and terrorist activities, illegal trafficking in weapons and drugs— noted in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

Particular attention is paid to identifying legal entities and individuals that provide illegal intermediary services to foreign citizens in the migration field, as well as those involved in extremist or terrorist activities.

On June 19, employees of the immigration control department of the Migration Department, together with employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, with the power support of the special forces of the Russian Guard, revealed violations of migration legislation on the territory of one of the fast food restaurants in Simferopol. As a result of the work carried out by the police, 5 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan were identified who were on the territory of the Republic of Crimea in violation of migration legislation, namely, they carried out labor activities without permits— the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea told about the first results of the verification raids.

On the fact of violations revealed by the employees of the immigration control department in relation to foreigners, administrative protocols were drawn up under Part 1 of Art. 18.10 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The materials were sent to the court for consideration.

The police emphasize:

Any citizen can report to the police about violations of migration laws, about the so-called «rubber apartments», hostels and hotels where illegal migrants live, as well as about enterprises and outlets where illegal migrants are employed. You can report this by calling the single duty dispatch service 112 or by calling the police 102, anonymity is guaranteed.
