Police on ensuring security during voting days in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea spoke about the readiness of the internal affairs bodies during the voting days in Crimea. First of all, the police reminded about the necessary procedure in case of detection of suspicious and explosive objects.
Having found a suspicious or explosive object (grenade, projectile, mine, bomb, etc.), you should not come close to it — you need to contact people who are nearby and ask them to immediately report a dangerous find to the police by calling «102». If any work is being carried out, it is necessary to turn off the engines, stop the equipment in the same position and retire to a safe distance or to cover. Before the arrival of the police or sappers, you need to keep anyone away from the find, while being in a place that protects against a possible explosion. Do not allow random people to touch a dangerous item or try to neutralize it— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
Police recommend that when traveling on public transport, pay attention to left bags, briefcases, packages, toys and other orphan items that may contain improvised explosive devices. You must immediately report the find to the driver of the vehicle, who will contact law enforcement, or directly to any police officer.
In no case should you open the detected packages and bags, and touch them. At the same time, it is necessary to warn people standing nearby about a possible danger. After stopping the vehicle, you need to quickly leave it and stay at a safe distance until the arrival of the police. If possible, it is necessary to inform police officers of the signs of a person who left a suspicious or explosive object, thereby speeding up the search for an intruder— emphasized in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
