Pre-registration for entry has been cancelled at the New Chersonesos museum and temple complex in Sevastopol, the Telegram channel complex. Initially, it was possible to get a free ticket only after booking a ticket on the website.

An important update for all visitors to the New Chersonesos museum and temple complex: from today, registration for entry is no longer required. This means that anyone can visit the complex without having to obtain a free ticket in advance.— the message says.

It is specified that security screening at the entrance to the park remains mandatory, and museum exhibits and excursion programs operate according to schedule.

About the complex

Chersonesos was founded as a Greek colony in 424-421 BC. It is believed that it was here in the 10th century that Prince Vladimir adopted Christianity, later baptizing Rus. The museum on the territory of the settlement has been operating for more than a century, but the creation of a historical and archaeological park next to it began several years ago. The complex includes several museums and other objects, as well as a large park area.

According to the My History Foundation, which oversaw the creation of the park, the total area of ​​the entire territory of the historical and archaeological park is 22.4 hectares, the total area of ​​the buildings of the complex is 144 thousand square meters, and the area of ​​the artistic facades is 70 thousand square meters. The area of ​​the territory improvement is 170 thousand square meters, including more than 40 thousand bushes and trees planted, 103 sculptural compositions installed. More than 100 km of utility lines were laid for the complex.
