Vladimir Putin’s convincing victory is not the only result of the 2024 elections. Russians demonstrated record political activity. Voter turnout in the presidential elections in the country as a whole reached 77.44% (this has never happened in the history of new Russia). 87 million 113 thousand 127 citizens of the Russian Federation took part in the voting. More than 8 million voters took advantage of the opportunity to vote electronically. Almost 10 million people voted at their place of actual residence, and not at their place of registration.

The undisputed leader in turnout among the regions is the Chechen Republic — 96.46%. But Crimea doesn’t graze the rear either. Let us repeat, the turnout in the elections of the Head of State in Crimea was 89.76%, and in Sevastopol – 81.79%. These results are comparable only to the turnout in the 2014 Referendum. Then 83.1% of Crimeans and 89.5% of Sevastopol residents took part in the voting.
