Preparing for school, dancing, learning languages: what additional activities do parents in Crimea focus on?

In Crimea, preschoolers are most often taken to school preparation courses, junior students to dance classes, and teenagers to learn foreign languages.
In a SuperJob survey, parents of schoolchildren told which sections and clubs their children go to. Parents of children aged 3–17 years from Crimea took part in the study. Most often, parents take elementary school children aged 7–12 years to clubs and sections (74%). Preschoolers and teenagers are slightly less likely to attend extracurricular activities: 51 and 55%, respectively. Parents of children 3-6 years old most often send them to school preparation courses (17%). 16% of parents each take their preschool children to swimming and gymnastics. 9% of parents each reported that their children are involved in dancing, football and music.,” noted the service’s press service.
In elementary school, priorities change. Judging by the responses of parents of primary school children, their children most often attend dance clubs (21%), martial arts (16%) and swimming (15%). 12% of parents take their children to drawing, 10% to music and foreign languages (9%).
Among high school students, the most popular extracurricular activities are foreign languages (18% of parents spoke about this), dancing and drawing (14% each). 9% of parents each send high school students to swimming and music, 6% each to football, volleyball and programming, 5% to math.
