Preschoolers of Sevastopol became part of the “Young Sevastopol Citizens” movement
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A patriotic movement “Young Sevastopol Citizens” has been created in Sevastopol for senior preschool children in the city’s kindergartens. Today four thousand children have become participants in the movement.
At the Cossack Bay educational center, 100 preschoolers underwent an initiation ceremony. They took the patriotic oath: “Firmly love Sevastopol. Take care of the Motherland. Follow the unity of word and deed. Show care and mercy.» And about. Director of the Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos congratulated the children on this significant event.
Our school and student movements are actively developing, but it is also important for the youngest residents to be active. The idea of creating a movement for kids arose. The ceremony takes place symbolically on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the return of Sevastopol to Russia. The children are still small, they do not yet understand how everything happened. I really ask the parents to tell the children how history was made. After all, we also learned about the events of the Great Patriotic War from our parents, grandparents, and, of course, teachers. We are bearers of historical truth— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Maxim Krivonos.
Military personnel of the 810th Separate Guards Order of Zhukov, Ushakov Marine Brigade, cadets of the Black Sea Higher Naval Order of Nakhimov and the Red Star School named after P. S. Nakhimov, activists of the First Movement and the Youth Army tied ties for the young residents of Sevastopol. The parents present at the ceremony could not hold back their tears at this touching moment.
I sincerely congratulate you on being part of a new patriotic organization. I wish you good health, courage, self-confidence, knowledge and new victories. Love your Motherland Russia! — notes the representative of the 810th Marine Brigade Konstantin Gorkunov.
Initiation of preparatory group pupils into young Sevastopol residents is aimed at developing moral and patriotic qualities in children, instilling a sense of patriotism, and respect for the heroic past of their hometown and country.
The new movement will help attract preschoolers to patriotic events, interact with children’s public organizations, and also ensure the continuity of preschool and primary general education in matters of patriotic education.
