The Department of Internal Policy of Sevastopol and Sevastopol State University (SevGU) will assist the regional national-cultural society of Kazan Tatars and Bashkirs in holding a round table «Preservation and development of «Halal» among the youth of Sevastopol». It will be held on the basis of SevGU 20 in October. About 300 people will participate in the event.

Halal — everything that is allowed and permissible in Islam. The expression is used by Muslims, in Arabic it means “permitted by Allah” , the organizers of the event explained.

In Sevastopol, the number of foreign students, young labor migrants from countries where Islam is the main religion is increasing every year. Therefore, the urgent tasks for the city are the development among the youth of an atmosphere of respect for the traditional spiritual and moral values of Russia, the socialization and integration of foreign students, young labor migrants into the socio-cultural environment of the city, as well as counteracting the spread of destructive ideologies among young people.

Halal as a set of value orientations, values and ethics can become the basis of intercultural, interethnic and interfaith relations of youth in the socio-cultural environment of Sevastopol. However, there are a number of problems that require the adoption of collective decisions and the use of a systematic approach for their implementation , — said Vladimir Kolesnikov, head of the department for work with national, religious and veteran organizations of the Department of Internal Policy of Sevastopol.

Heads and members of non-profit and religious organizations, representatives of the government of Sevastopol and federal agencies of the Russian Federation, members of the Public Chamber of Sevastopol, employees of educational organizations, activists of the student volunteer association, specialists of the Anti-Terrorist Commission in Sevastopol, as well as experts and interested parties will gather to make collective decisions on the topic of the round table. faces.
