President of the Notary Chamber of Sevastopol Olga Kalenkovich held a lesson with student lawyers

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On November 20, on the All-Russian Day of Legal Assistance for Children, the President of the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol, notary Olga Kalenkovich gave a lecture for first and third year students of the College named after Gelovani (State budgetary educational institution of vocational education of the city of Sevastopol “Sevastopol Multidisciplinary College named after Marshal of Engineering Troops A.V. Gelovani «), studying to be a lawyer.

The head of the Sevastopol notary told the children about the background to the signing of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1959, followed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989. Thanks to these documents, the fundamental rights of children were enshrined at the international level. Since then, World Children’s Day is celebrated annually on November 20.

Since Olga Kalenkovich was talking with her future colleagues — lawyers, she based the lesson on explaining the rules of law that establish the rights of children in the Russian Federation and, accordingly, their responsibilities. She also explained that no right can be unlimited, since the right of one citizen is inevitably limited by the right of another person.

There is one good saying: “My rights end where the rights of others begin.” And if everyone lives with an understanding of this fact and respect for the rights of others, conflicts will disappear from our lives as such. And in order not to be unfounded, the president of the notary chamber gave students a number of real-life examples where rash actions can lead to serious legal consequences. Giving examples, Olga Nikolaevna invited the children to qualify the actions described in the examples from the point of view of civil or criminal law. Students, in the process of communication, showed themselves to be competent and capable future lawyers. At the end of the meeting, the notary wished the audience success in their studies and future professional activities! — said the Notary Chamber of Sevastopol.
