President of the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol — Olga Kalenkovich

President of the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol — Olga Kalenkovich

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On August 25, an extraordinary meeting of members of the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol took place. In addition to representatives of the professional association, the meeting was attended by employees of the territorial body of justice — the head of the department for non-profit organizations of the Office of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for Sevastopol Anna Shabalina and a specialist — expert of the department for non-profit organizations Margarita Moiseenkova.

There were two key issues on the agenda of the meeting of representatives of the notarial community: the election of the President of the Chamber and the election of one member of the Board of the Chamber. Those who follow the events in the notaries of Sevastopol know that the previous elections for the head of the notaries were held on May 19 this year. Maxim Yurchenko was elected President of the Chamber. Maxim Vladimirovich successfully led the notary for two and a half months, but on July 31 he decided to resign early, about which he notified his colleagues on the same day. In accordance with the Charter of the Chamber, any notary who is a member of the Chamber, nominated by an initiative group or personally, as a self-nominated candidate, could become a candidate for the President of the Chamber. However, the initiative group nominated the only candidate — the notary of the city of Sevastopol Olga Kalenkovich, — reported in the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol.

As Dmitry Severin, chairman of the Commission for Elections, explained during his speech at the meeting, there were no notifications about the nomination/self-nomination of other candidates for the position of President of the Chamber and their intention to participate in the elections. Therefore, the elections were held on a non-alternative basis. According to the results of the secret ballot, 49 votes were cast — FOR the proposed candidate and 3 votes — AGAINST. The notaries elected Olga Kalenkovich as the President of the Chamber of Notaries with a term of office of 5 years.

After completing the procedural issues related to the election of the President of the Chamber, the participants moved on to the next item on the agenda — the by-election of a member of the Board of the Chamber.

The situation on this issue looked similar. One person was nominated as a candidate for the position of a member of the board — the notary of the city of Sevastopol Maxim Yurchenko. There were no proposals for other candidates or self-nomination from the notaries of Sevastopol either. As a result of a secret ballot, colleagues elected Maxim Vladimirovich by an overwhelming majority of votes — FOR and 3 votes — AGAINST to the position of a member of the Board of the Chamber.

Based on the ratio of votes FOR and AGAINST cast for candidates for the position of President of the Chamber and a member of the Board of the Chamber, the notarial community demonstrated unity. This eloquently testifies that Olga Nikolaevna and Maxim Vladimirovich, during their work in the bodies of the Chamber, have gained the trust and support of their colleagues.
