Prices for chicken eggs in Crimea … decreased by 10% before Easter week

According to him, in the Crimean retail chains, as of April 16, the chicken egg of the first category (C1) can be bought at a price of 63 rubles 96 kopecks, and a category of C2 at a price of 41 rubles 90 kopecks. Thus, on the peninsula, Kurin’s egg today is 18.9%cheaper than in the Krasnodar Territory, and 12.3%than in the Southern Federal District as a whole, GUK noted, referring to the data of Rosstat.

According to the observations of the Crimeans, the prices since the beginning of the year have really sank. In April, in the stores of Simferopol, a dozen eggs of the first category costs 80-100 rubles, in some retail outlets you can find cheaper.

At the same time, the trend of reducing prices for chicken eggs is observed in all regions of the country, which was achieved due to an increase in production, GUK noted.

In order to avoid a repeated situation, which was in 2023, when with increased demand there was a deficiency of eggs, domestic poultry farms scaled production. Namely, the number of nasads, which give a fairly high egg production of such categories as C1 and C2— said Anatoly Hook.

He also noted that Crimea provides himself with a chicken egg of its own production by 30-40%, the rest of the goods on sale-imported, mainland. But in retail chains, the products of local poultry farms are priority, he noted.

According to GUK, it is possible to hold and control prices in the Crimea, including thanks to the current agreement on stabilizing prices for socially significant food products, signed by the government of the republic with manufacturers and sales of goods. According to the document, a margin of chicken eggs should not exceed 5%, and this is performed, Hook said:

Monitoring is carried out daily as part of the current government agreement. We update prices on our website, monitor wholesale prices of all manufacturers, including local poultry farms, which are participants in the agreement, traveling to retail chains-we look, we check prices on the site and shelf. That is, everything is under control.

He specified that this agreement does not apply to farm goods. However, for fairs there are separate recommended prices developed together with the Ministry of Agriculture on the basis of wholesale and vacation prices of manufacturers, which are brought to business entities that sell products.
