Professional training for medical students to work in the summer is being conducted in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At the Crimean Federal University. IN AND. Vernadsky, a ceremonial summing up of the results of the professional training program for students in the profession of “junior nursing nurse” took place, implemented at the university since May 8, 2024.
20 medical students took the initiative to create a student medical team and, during the summer holidays, work as junior medical staff in medical institutions, leading sanatoriums and children’s camps in Crimea. Understanding the importance of professional training in this area of work, on the basis of the KFU Medical College. IN AND. Vernadsky organized and began professional training for students for their subsequent work as nurses.
The training was carried out within the framework of the Vocational Training Program for students in the professions of workers and office positions necessary for carrying out labor activities as part of student teams. As part of this program, in 2023 alone, 38,436 people were trained in 130 professions in the Russian Federation.
Crimean students who completed training to become junior nurses successfully passed the exams and received state-issued certificates. Auxiliary nurses are among the representatives of the nursing service and perform comprehensive patient care, which includes various ways of assistance depending on the profile of the medical organization. Their responsibilities include performing simple therapeutic procedures, ensuring the cleanliness of hospital premises, the sterility of equipment and instruments, participating in the transportation of seriously ill patients, assisting patients in maintaining personal hygiene and the correct use of patient care items.
Many students prefer to relax in the summer after a grueling academic year. But there are guys who prefer work to rest. Now in Crimea there is a large shortage of seasonal personnel, including junior medical workers. Vocational training for medical students who want to work in the summer will allow the students to gain their first work experience in the profession, reduce the shortage of personnel in medical institutions, and allow them to replenish their practical knowledge, – says the head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian Student Brigades Vladimir Kaidansky.
Studying to become a junior nurse gave us the necessary competencies and confidence to apply our knowledge in practice. We are ready to help patients and support medical staff in medical institutions and children’s health camps. We are looking forward to starting work and are confident that we will be able to justify the trust placed in us during the training process, – notes the commander of the student medical detachment “Lux Vitae” Tatyana Glushakova.
