Profitable business. Crimean tried to sell a kilogram of drugs — “earned” 10 years in prison

The Simferopol District Court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a local resident. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, the Crimean citizen was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 hours 5 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed using information and telecommunication networks (including the Internet) on an especially large scale).

The court established that in August 2022, the defendant became a member of an organized group specializing in the sale of synthetic drugs. In accordance with the role assigned to him, he performed the functions of a “mortgagor”. On instructions from the “curator”, he placed a wholesale batch of the narcotic drug N-methylephedron weighing about 1 kg in a sparsely populated place near the village of Fontany, Simferopol region, after which he was detained by police officers,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.

The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the attacker to 10 years in prison to be served in a special regime correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force. The criminal investigation into the remaining members of the organized group continues.
