Pumpkins, lavender honey and candles with Crimean scents — Autumn Harvest Fair and Crimean Crafts Fair

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On October 28, the Green Festival “Tavrida.ART” took place in Kapsel Bay. As part of the festival, a large Autumn Harvest Fair was held in the ART-EXPO exhibition pavilion, which brought together farmers from different regions of Crimea, as well as a Fair of Crimean craftsmen who presented handmade goods. Fruits and lavender honey, wooden brooches and candles with Crimean scents — what other products surprised the audience at the Green Festival?

The green festival, held in Kapsel Bay near Sudak on the last Saturday of October, brought together everyone who wanted to contribute to the greening of Crimea. Residents and guests of Sudak planted almond trees, cypress and pine trees, perennial shrubs, which became part of the ecosystem of Kapsel Bay.

The Autumn Harvest Fair, held in the ART-EXPO exhibition pavilion, attracted special attention. 48 producers of vegetables and fruits, meat and sausages, cheese makers and beekeepers, bakers and producers of oriental sweets met at one site. Visitors to the fair were able to try apples from Sudak, cheese from the Simferopol region, honey from the Black Sea region and purchase Crimean seedlings of fruit trees and shrubs. The residents of the fair decorated their pavilions in the same style: they decorated the trading areas with autumn paraphernalia — leaves and branches, pine cones and acorns, pumpkins and even a real tractor — turning ART-EXPO into a place for a harvest festival.

In addition to farmers, handicraftsmen from different parts of Crimea came to surprise the guests of the Green Festival. 17 craftsmen exhibited their products as part of the Fair of Crimean Craftsmen. Products made of clay and epoxy resin, handmade jewelry, natural cosmetics and candles, designer sweets and honey filled the fair’s shelves.

We came here with our products — homemade perfumes and natural candles with Crimean scents — not only to talk about our brand, but also to take part in planting plants. We work with Crimean herbs, with juniper, and it was very important for us to contribute to the green heritage of our native land, says the head of the project “ISA.KANO. Crimean manufactory» Elena Berezovskaya.

The green festival “Tavrida.ART” was held on October 28 in Kapsel Bay near the city of Sudak. An open event for residents and guests of the peninsula on landscaping the coastal zone — a new stage in the history of afforestation in Crimea. The festival brought together residents and guests of the peninsula. Together they planted more than 1,600 trees and shrubs.

A rich cultural and educational program was held for the participants: environmental master classes, a green lecture hall, fairs of the autumn harvest and products of Crimean craftsmen, a picnic, performances by DJs and artists. The Festival’s headliners are the Russian pop-rock band The Hatters and singer Khabib.
