Real estate “swindlers” were punished in Crimea: they defrauded the Republic of 160 million

In the Bakhchisarai region, a verdict was passed in a criminal case regarding fraud with real estate worth about 160 million rubles.
The court found that the defendant, having entered into a conspiracy with unidentified persons, the criminal case against whom was separated into separate proceedings, in 2017-2018, on the basis of forged documents, registered ownership of a property complex and the land plot underneath it, located in the city of Evpatoria— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
As a result of the defendant’s illegal actions, property worth about 160 million rubles was lost from the ownership of the Republic.
The illegal actions of the convict were identified and suppressed by employees of the internal affairs bodies.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 4 years in prison to serve the sentence in a general regime correctional colony.
Previously, transactions concluded by the defendant were declared invalid by the court, and the property complex and land plot were returned to the ownership of the Republic of Crimea.
