Reconstruction of treatment facilities will ensure environmental safety in the Black Sea region of Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the village of Novoselskoye (in the Black Sea region of Crimea), the construction of a biological sewage treatment plant continues, the launch of which should take place in the first half of this year.

Having visited the complex, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov noted that the commissioning of the new facility will ensure mechanical and biological treatment of wastewater in accordance with standards, and the installed ultraviolet devices will raise the water treatment system to a higher level.

The facility’s capacity is five thousand cubic meters of wastewater per day. According to the head of the Crimean parliament, the construction of such treatment facilities in the Republic shows not only changes in the housing and communal services sector, but also has a positive effect on the ecology of the region.

In Russian Crimea, all, even the most remote regions, received a powerful impetus for development. Today, many social and infrastructure projects are being implemented in the Black Sea region. One of the most significant of them is the construction of new sewerage treatment facilities. The commissioning of the facility will increase the attractiveness of the Black Sea region as a resort region. In addition, wastewater treatment and process water production will create additional opportunities for agriculture,” noted Vladimir Konstantinov.

The head of the Crimean Parliament also met with the staff of the Black Sea Central District Hospital and inspected the day surgery department, where patients are provided with comprehensive care at all stages — from diagnosis to clinical observation.

All departments at the Black Sea Central Regional Hospital have been renovated and modern equipment has been purchased. In total, more than 544 million rubles were spent on the development of the healthcare system in the region over ten years. With these funds, over 770 units of medical equipment were purchased, 16 first aid stations and five medical outpatient clinics were repaired and built. Work to modernize the healthcare system in the region continues,” summed up Vladimir Konstantinov.
