Repair and restoration of the cultural heritage site «Khan's Palace» in Bakhchisarai — 72% complete

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina, together with the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Sergei Obryvalin, the Head of the Crimean Metropolis, His Eminence Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, visited the cultural heritage site of federal significance «Khan’s Palace».
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of interaction between the management of the Bakhchisarai Museum-Reserve and the Holy Dormition Monastery.
In addition, we inspected the progress of repair and restoration activities and discussed aspects of the further functioning of the Khan’s Palace — a unique historical and cultural monument, a popular attraction of Crimeareports the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
To carry out measures to preserve the palace complex, funding is provided in accordance with the state program of the Russian Federation “Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol” in the amount of over 3.5 billion rubles.
The overall construction readiness of the complex, which includes 16 cultural heritage sites, is 72%.
Currently, work is being accepted at the following sites: “Falcon Tower”, “Stable Building”, “Library Building”, “Embankment with Three Bridges”, and renovation of 6 objects is ongoing: “Count’s (suite) building”, “Khan’s Kitchen” «, «Main building», «Harem», «Khan’s Mosque (II stage)», «Gardens and park structures».
Repair and restoration activities have been fully completed at 6 sites (“Durbe Dilyara-Bikech Tomb”, “Northern Durbe” Tomb, “South Durbe” Tomb, “Sary Guzel Bath”, “Catherine’s Mile”, “Tombstone Rotunda”).
The customer is the Directorate for Centralized Maintenance and Development of Cultural Institutions, the contractor is FAU RosKapStroy, LLC Restoration and Construction Company Gefest.
Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of 2024.
