In Crimea, as part of the implementation of the national project “Safe Quality Roads”, the repair of the public intermunicipal road “Veseloye — Dubki” is being carried out (two sections — km 0+000 — km 5+300 and 5+300 — km 11+700). The customer of the work is the State Public Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Road Service of the Republic of Crimea”.
Road builders actively use the latest technologies and modern materials. Thus, the repair of these areas is carried out using cold recycling technology. This is a technology that allows road repairs to be made using old asphalt concrete pavement as a component of a new one. Special machines — recyclers crush the old coating, in the process introducing strengthening additives (cement or bitumen) and special additives — stabilizers, designed to improve the quality of the resulting road base— said the Ministry of Transport of Crimea.
The method of recycling old asphalt pavement has proven itself well all over the world. Recycling technology helps preserve the environment by reducing the consumption of primary resources and reducing the amount of waste.
The national project “Safe Quality Roads” has a great impact on the transport infrastructure of Crimea: bridges and overpasses are being updated, new and best technologies are being used, and the safety of roads and highways is improving. Thanks to the participation of the Republic of Crimea in the national project, the main task in the road sector is being solved — putting in order key areas that ensure the accessibility of social institutions, economic and tourism facilities.
Over the entire period of implementation of the national project “Safe Quality Roads” since 2019, more than 95 sections of regional roads with a length of 801.154 km have been repaired in the Republic of Crimea (which is 13% of the entire highway network).
