Repair work on the Aromat-Mnogorechye highway and bridges in the Bakhchisaray district continues

As part of the implementation of the national project “Safe Quality Roads”, work continues on the repair of the Aromat – Mnogorechye highway in the Bakhchisaray district. The site is not an easy one: work is being carried out simultaneously on three bridges and three sections of roads. Builders use innovative solutions and modern materials. In the future — a complete replacement of the roadway, restoration and renewal of outdated bridge structures. The customer is the State Public Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Road Service of the Republic of Crimea”.

The road lies in a mountainous area, and in order to bring it to standard condition, it is necessary to restore not only the road surface, but also artificial structures and retaining walls. This site is included in the plan, including due to numerous requests from citizens. No less relevant is the repair of bridge structures that were built during the Soviet period, are physically outdated and require repair. Often, the need to repair only one bridge (and there are three at this site) can cause a crisis on a local scale and cause a lot of inconvenience to local residents and drivers traveling across the bridge in transit. Active road work is almost complete in two sections: road workers have completed laying the top layer of the road surface, as well as repairing sidewalks and developing roadsides. Work continues to repair three bridges under three government contracts. Dismantling work is almost complete, workers have begun restoration and concrete work. Overhaul of bridge structures is always a very difficult task; in this case, the process is complicated by the age of the structures. Many difficult construction problems are solved directly on site, requiring builders to find engineering solutions.

Over the entire period of implementation of the national project “Safe Quality Roads” since 2019, more than 95 sections of regional roads with a length of 801.154 km have been repaired in the Republic of Crimea (which is 13% of the entire highway network).

Since the start of the project, the share of regional roads that are in standard condition has almost doubled.

In addition, from 2022, as part of the BCD, artificial structures (bridges and overpasses) will be brought to standard condition.

In 2023, in the Republic of Crimea, within the framework of the National Project “Safe Quality Roads”, 15 highway repair facilities with a total length of about 161 km are planned. Currently, construction and installation work is underway at 7 sites, work has been completed at 2 sites, and 2 more sites have been put into operation.
